- Native XDS/2 v2.12 Pre-Release
- Copyright (c) 1996 xTech Ltd.
-
- Native XDS/2 v2.12 is now available as a free pre-release.
-
- xTech development system (XDS) is a professional system featuring
- Modula-2 and Oberon-2 programming languages. It is available for most
- popular platforms, including PC/MS-DOS, OS/2, Linux, Windows NT,
- Windows 95, Unix workstations (Sun, HP, DEC, MIPS), etc. XDS provides
- an uniform programming environment for all mentioned platforms and
- allows to design and implement truly portable software.
-
- The XDS Modula-2 compiler implements ISO standard of Modula-2. The
- ISO standard library set is accessible for both Modula-2 and Oberon-2.
-
- All XDS implementations share the same platform-independent front-end
- for both source languages. The output code can be either a native code
- for the target platform (Native XDS) or a text in the ANSI C language.
- The ANSI C code generation is available for all platforms. A number of
- platforms for which a native code compiler is available is constantly
- extended.
-
- XDS includes standard ISO and PIM libraries along with a set of
- utility libraries and an interface to the ANSI C library set.
-
- Native XDS/2 produces highly optimized 32-bit code and comes with two
- major enhancements: the IDE and OS/2 API support. The full 32-bit OS/2
- API is accessible from both Modula-2 and Oberon-2.
